Željko Lukač, Chairman of the supervisory board
Željko Lukač was born in Zagreb in 1969. He graduated from University Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas in marketing and finances in 1993. In 1995 he received his master's degree in MBA at Texas University in Austin. Ater that he worked for a short time in America and in mid 1996 he returned to Croatia and started working in a leading insurance company Croatia Osiguranje d.d. In pursuit of faster career advancement in February 1997 he started working in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as a financial analyst. There he worked as a chief banker in the EBRD offices in Zagreb and London and he was responsible for various loan and equity investment projects in construction material sector, food processing, tourism and pharmaceutical industry.
In 2003 together with his partners, he co-founded and managed the first Croatian private equity fund - Quaestus Private Equity Kapital.
During 2008 he took over the duty of president of the Board of Metronet telekomunikacije d.d. – a company owned by Quaestus fund struggling with financial issues. After successful operative and financial restructuring in February 2017 he succesfully sold majority share in Metronet.
Mr Lukač is currently working as president of the Board of company Inceptum ICT and he is responsible for realization of business plan and coordination of members of the Board. He is also a president of the Supervisory Board in NEXE d.d.
